Meet our Team

We are Nina and Lisa.

After a couple of years behind a desk, we both decided to pursue additional studies in movement and dance. Since then, we have brought the wonders of dance, movement and body awareness to many different groups of people.

In 2023 we founded Into the Body, an association whose mission it is to promote physical and mental well-being and empowerment through working directly with the intelligence and the competences of the body.

Our movement-centred approach places the self-development and learning-by-doing of our participants at the heart of our sessions. We strive to cultivate a welcoming and supportive atmosphere where individuals can embrace and foster a culture of community, improved communication and collaboration.

Together we have:

  • More than 50 years of individual dance experience
  • More than 25 years of partner dance experience
  • Around 10 years of experience teaching dance classes
  • Around 5 years of experience teaching yoga classes

We use techniques such as:

  • Laban Movement Analysis
  • Polyvagal Theory
  • Yoga
  • Body Expression
  • Conscious Movement
  • Relaxation exercises
  • Breathing exercises

Together we facillitate/teach:

  • In 5 different languages (EN, FR, NL, DE, ES)
  • To various groups of people ranging from children, teenagers, adults and dancers to Parkinson patients, individuals with a psycho-social vulnerability and (dependent) elderly people.

Lisa Huylebroeck is a dance therapist and a yoga teacher. She obtained a bachelor’s degree in dance therapy from Artevelde University College and is certified as a yoga teacher by Zuna Yoga®. She is known for her remarkable ability to quickly create a sense of calm within a group.

As a dance therapist, she has worked with several groups of people, from (psychologically) vulnerable teenagers and adults to dependent elderly people.

She believes that creativity, body expression and (conscious) movement are important tools both in healing and in getting the most out of our potential as human beings.

Nina Monjean is a certified body expression teacher trained at the Institut de Rythmique Jaques-Dalcroze in Belgium, where she now teaches.

Having been passionate about dance from a young age, she is greatly interested in the efficacy of movement,  bodily tone and alignment, and more generally, in movement as a significant vector in health and well-being. Her strength lies in observing  movement and posture and giving practical tools to improve both.

Beyond her dedication to movement, Nina has a keen interest in nutrition and plant medicine, prompting her to pursue studies in holistic health.

Our Beliefs and Values

  1. Respect and Listen to Your Body: We advocate for a deep respect and active listening to the body. When we honour our body’s signals and needs, it becomes a powerful ally in achieving our goals.
  2. Embrace the Joy of Movement: We believe that human beings are inherently designed to move. It is not just a biological necessity, but also a fundamental resource for feeling more balanced and experiencing joy.
  3. Body as Expression: Our bodies communicate myriad thoughts, emotions, and experiences, both consciously and unconsciously. Being aware and learning how to use our bodies actively can improve our communication with others.
  4. Prevention through Movement: We believe in the proactive role of movement in preventing physical and mental health issues.

The values of authenticity, care, respect, awareness and fun are at the core of our work.
